This included the successful design strategy and proposal for the ATP Trackside Enabling works on Main North.

Successfully managed the planning, approvals, installation, testing and commissioning of the Siemens’ Train Guard ETCS for both trackside and on-train. As role of Test Captain, successfully completed the evaluation test cases of Siemens fitted out test train proving functionality and interoperability across the all three supplier’s track sites.
Successfully transferred the ETCS principles and benefits of an ATP implementation to various RailCorp and external rolling stock stakeholders during the trial evaluation period. Was a key member of the Collaborative Development Group in developing the ATP principles and network rules for a future roll-out across the RailCorp network. Reported to the Project Manager to ensure deadlines are met during test execution and solutions to problems are delivered in accordance with scheduled project plans.

Project managed the rollout of the Metropolitan Signal Control System (MSCS) project based on the Advanced Train Running Information & Control System (ATRICS). The formulation of a commissioning strategy for new control systems that would ensure a seamless transfer of operations across to the new system. This included the I/O correspondence site testing phase interfacing to the existing signalling system without affecting on-going train running operations.
Successfully completed the development and rollout of signalling control systems into various ‘dark’ areas of the NSW metropolitan rail network as a result of the Glenbrook Rail Accident Inquiry. As a key member of the Sydenham Control Centre Project team, implemented the consolidation of the remote control of the signalling infrastructure of Sydney’s Illawarra and South metropolitan rail regions Sydney Connect
