An experienced business manager, Michael has led teams of up to 2,500 staff, managed annual capital budgets to $128m, revenue $520m, expenditure $490m and won numerous awards including two Engineering Excellence Awards, two NSW Permanent Way Institution Ken Erickson Achievement Awards and the Institution of Engineers Engineering Excellence Awards for Public Works.

Michael is a strong communicator, with experience ranging from strategic planning and policy advice at senior government level, to team and staff development, university lecturing and media presentation. Leading large, multi-disciplined teams, he has experience in briefing consultants, professional services, administering design and construct contracts, and construction and service specifications. An excellent economiser, Michael’s skills in resource management and developing and implementing effective management business systems are exemplary.
