Daniel’s Professional career spans over 20 years with experience in both government rail entities and private enterprise. Daniel has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University or Technology, Sydney with first class honours; he is also a Member of the Institution of Engineers, Australia. Daniel has close links with the rail industry in NSW and is a committee member of the NSW Permanent Way Institution, having been the PWI editor from 1999 – 2008 establishing contacts throughout NSW, Australia and in the UK. Daniel’s strengths lay in his ability to combine his workshop facilitation and leadership skills with his project management, design experience and site delivery experience, in this way Daniel combines with the other members of Rail Planning Services to deliver a truly balanced team of rail experienced professionals.

Phil’s career spans over 30 years in Rail Infrastructure with various government organisations and private enterprises. Phil has specialist experience in project and construction management involving large scale configuration changes such as major junction modifications, plain track construction and supporting structure installations. Phil draws on his extensive track possession management experience involving large multi-discipline teams. His strengths lay in his ability to rationalise complex problems using the skills of team around him both locally and contacts throughout the industry. His belief in empowering a team to bring out the best solutions is part of his natural leadership style and in this way Phil combines with the other members of Rail Planning Services to deliver a truly balanced team of rail experienced professionals.

Michael’s career spans over 20 years in rail infrastructure for both government organisations and private enterprise. Michael’s experience enables him the to manage complex signalling construction and commissioning engineering tasks on large scale metropolitan re-signalling schemes using his specialist insight into the constraints of delivering signalling projects in a multi-discipline environment.
Michael’s strengths lay in his ability to provide a balanced signalling approach where he can apply various degrees of adaptation of signalling staging to optimise project delivery whilst considering non signalling discipline constraints. Michael’s peripheral appreciation of all disciplines whilst maintaining signal system integrity is an extremely valued skill and in this way Michael combines with the other members of Rail Planning Services to deliver a truly balanced team of rail experienced professionals.

Gus’ career spans over 20 years with over 17 years in rail infrastructure for various government and private enterprises. Gus has worked through all facets of project delivery and management in delivering multi-disciplined major rail infrastructure projects.
Gus’ strength lay in his diverse experience across all disciplines and the coordination skills and interface understanding he has developed. His rail project approach includes a focus on project staging, possession planning and the management of stakeholder, contractor and live infrastructure interfaces. Gus can claim ‘hands on’ experience in almost all rail discipline facets including civil, track, HV electrical, overhead wiring, signals, station and associated communications systems installation experience and in this way Gus combines with the other members of Rail Planning Services to deliver a truly balanced team of rail experienced professionals.

Chris’s Professional career spans over 17 years with experience in both government rail entities and private enterprise. Chris has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the University of Technology, Sydney. Chris has worked through all phases of project delivery, from feasibility, concept, design, construction and commissioning in both the private and public sectors. His main experience is within the Rail Sector however he has also has experience in Roads and other sectors.
Chris’s strengths lay in his experience in managing large multi-disciplined rail projects and his understanding of the complex sequencing and interfaces required to successfully deliver rail projects. He is experienced in managing large project teams and enjoys getting the best out of people. He is goal focused and will explore all possible solutions to achieve the results.
