Operational Readiness Coordinator 2013 – 2015
Successfully coordinated, scheduled and managed the operational readiness of major rail upgrade projects ensuring effective operational integration into live operations including Northern Sydney Freight Corridor ($1.1bn) and Digital Train Radio System ($400m). Managed key negotiations with various internal and external stakeholders including executive management, government delivery agencies and principal contractors in order to effectively deliver all project milestones. Managed critical internal and external interfaces to ensure effective integration, alignment and productive working relationships, often working with tight deadlines.
Ensured that all impacts and changes to the Sydney Trains staff and network were risk assessed, communicated and compliant with the Safety Management System. Successfully monitored and provided executive reporting on the progress and critical path issues of projects, implementing mitigating measures where required. Engineering Facilities Project Engineer 2012 – 2013
Managed major portions of the $35m retrofit of an aircraft maintenance facility in Brisbane into a modern, efficient Boeing 737 major maintenance centre. Coordinated the successful Concept Design of a new $450m Airbus A380 aircraft maintenance facility in Sydney, managing a large team of internal project engineers, SMEs and various external consultants and authorities.
Managed the construction, implementation and operational readiness of a $9m Boeing 747 maintenance area, successfully integrating the project into live operations with zero operational disruptions. Achieved approval of several complex project proposals focusing on budgets, timelines, change management, operational impacts and safety/compliance.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) 2003 – 2012
Successful completion of apprenticeship in April 2007 and accepted a position within Sydney Aircraft Maintenance. Coordinated the successful completion of complex aircraft rectifications under severe time constraints. Gained thorough experience and knowledge of engineering systems, maintenance practices and operational processes.
Obtained an unwavering commitment to quality and safety through exposure to the delicate and risky nature of the job and various training courses. Designed, coordinated, presented, and implemented significant operational and business improvements for various large scale maintenance processes. Produced and submitted several successful capital expenditure business cases considering budgets, time constraints and project selection criteria.
