Manager Rail Maintenance                                                                                                  2014 – Present

Responsible for managing the maintenance of private rail sidings on behalf of logistics and coal clients throughout NSW and Victoria. Develop and maintained asset management plans, ensured private rail sidings/terminals meet regulatory compliance, facilitated monthly meetings with clients to ensure client expectations are met, liaise with HSEQ manager to ensure all necessary standards are met, prepared and managed financial statements, annual budgets and estimates for the division and managed a dedicated maintenance team which includes project engineers, track inspectors and infrastructure workers in the delivery of track upgrading works.

Project Manager Bridge Renewals                                                                                                  1992 – 1998

Responsible for the planning and management of projects with regards to budget, program, safety and quality of work. This position was responsible for the delivery of up to $18m worth of work annually. My involvement was from initial design concepts to completion. The installation of these bridges was completed under very tight time restrictions and required very detailed planning.

Innovative methods were developed to ensure the projects were completed within time and budgetary constraints to acceptable engineering standards with minimal impact on train operations.

Projects involved large bulk earthworks in Sydney CBD including shoring, piling, retaining walls and other various civil works. Responsible for preparation of tender documentation, contract administration and site supervision, client liaison, policing of safety procedures and project planning.

Projects involved sinking caissons and associated tunneling in London Docklands. Responsible for Contract Administration, supervision of sub-contractors, daily coordination of work activities, material acquisitions, project planning and costing and surveying.
