Rail Planning Services is pleased to welcome Ian Roberts, who will be leading our Asset Management team.

Ian has over 30 years’ experience in Asset Management across Australia, New Zealand and the UK, having worked in a number of sectors including road, rail, utilities and telecommunications.

With a background in Aeronautical Engineering and experience in military aircraft engineering maintenance, Ian understands the engineering smarts of Asset Management.  He has lead organisations to review and rationalise the maintenance  of their assets to ensure they are suitable, optimised, cost effective and the assets meet the needs of the stakeholders.

Ian has an in-depth understanding of, and extensive experience in, project life cycle management including maintenance requirement analysis, systems engineering, procurement, acquisition,  introduction into service, in-service support and asset management.

In addition to his experience, Ian is a Certified Practitioner in Asset Management (CPAM) and a Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) (ISO55001).
