Digital Systems Program is to replace current signalling equipment across the Sydney Network with ETCS Level 2 technology, including Automatic Train Operation and a Traffic Management System.
Our team (comprising of current ETCS international experts) provided an independent review and report of the high-level program and information regarding current challenges faced within the ETCS framework.
The review used baseline installation assumptions of ETCS implementation activities (based on international experience) including design, installation, test and safety/approval, as well as possession constraints and requirements. These were applied to 12 deployment areas to compare with existing programs.
