Wynyard Walk was a complex inner-city project that provided a fully accessible pedestrian link between Wynyard Station and the developing CBD western corridor and Barangaroo. The works involved underground pedestrian connections, pedestrian bridges, and station entrances.
Opened in 2016, Wynyard Walk provides a quick and safe route and has increased the entry and exit capacity of Wynyard station to meet demand as Barangaroo developed. An estimated 20,000 pedestrians per hour can walk through the tunnel.
Rail Planning Services were engaged for the construction management of the Clarence Street Portal works. Our team produced and provided input into project strategies for procurement, delivery, construction, commissioning and operations. Scope also included contract management and production of the cost tracking schedule, project plan and monthly report.
